This sounds like Fates Warning. I like it and it is not what I expected. This band is incorrectly called glam metal some times.

When I heard that rivers started out in a metal band, I thought they would have had a more eighties glam metal sound. I did not expect to hear a band that sounded a lot like Fates Warning, I'm actually very impressed.
